So this is the beginning. The start of it all. What it is I’m not really sure, but this was started on a whim, so I guess that’s to be expected! I think I’ll start with maybe why I decided to make this and what I hope for it to become.
Well, like my profile says (and I don’t know if people actually read each others profiles) I’m an aspiring author. Or maybe I am an author since I’ve written things. The point is that I’m not published, but I would like to be some day. I’d like to be a New York Times best seller with a hit as big as Harry Potter. I’m ambitious like that and for some odd reason I really truthfully believe it will happen one day. Regardless of whether it does or not, I’ll keep writing until the day I die.
Lately though, as I’m getting into some upper division college courses for my Creative Writing major, I’ve become more and more interested with the process of writing and the different ways people write. What kind of things influence a person’s writing? What motivates them? Things like that. Those are the kind of questions you’ll probably see me explore most often. Sometimes I’ll look at the writing of others too, and other times I might just rant about whatever.
A lot of this is for my own sake though. It might just end up being a self examination of my own writing process so I can focus on actual writing. If you can learn something from it though that’s great. My overall goal is to help me finish a book for once! And maybe to improve my craft while I go about it.
I’ll do my best to keep you entertained though. I like being funny and I like making people smile. So hopefully I can do a bit of that on the side.
I’m not sure if there are followers or something, but I’d be honored to have you for one if there are. Trust me, I’ve got big things planned, and you can get your chance to watch them develop.
